A weekend trip to the thrift shop netted me this…. for $2.99. It is incredibly light and fragile. Made in Japan. I couldn’t believe it survived the journey to this place, to alight amid the tacky coffee mugs and mismatched china. It’s a salt shaker. Or is it pepper?
I looked everywhere for his mate and couldn’t find one. It doesn’t matter. He seems happy enough to be on the windowsill alone. Well, not really alone. He has the squirrels to keep him company.
