Or how about this one?

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Photography

Isn’t it ironic that the photographer hates having her photo taken? :)

If you’re just tuning in, I happen to be having a small nervous breakdown about a photo I need to submit this week.

Can I just say one thing: DAMN THAT WIDOW’S PEAK.

I am leaning heavily towards a cropped version of photo #1 in the previous post. My mother prefers #2. Mark likes #3 but a whole bunch of you don’t. And then there’s the small contingent who don’t like any of them. I’m not sure what do you with you. :) Anyway, Mark took this photo too.

I have been having second thoughts about wearing a white shirt and suit jack combo for this headshot, so I went for a plain collared shirt instead. Kind of matches my bluegreenygrey eyes, doesn’t it? :)

This is the last time I’ll be asking, I swear. What do you think? Is this one better than #1 from below?

Take two

Yes, better! And do you enjoy having a nice long neck? I’ve always wondered what it’s like not to be a neckless wonder.

Thanks Hellcat! Marla, I will be forwarding all comments to all the people who called me Giraffe when I was 10.

Oh, I’m obviously late to the party, but this is a wonderful shot, head and shoulders (ha!) above the other three. The colour does bring out your eyes without calling attention away from your face, and it has a nice softness that’s appealing. Well done!!

Now, reward us all for our efforts and spill the secret media blitz, please???

Definitely this one!

And those ‘none of the above’ people, they just wanted you to go back and do another because they thought you could do better, not because there was anything wrong with the subject or the pictues. Do not despair, Andrea!

YES! This is the one. The overall colour and background of this photo suits you better than in photo#1. You have a friendly smile and appear approachable, casual yet professional. And I would trust you with my money!!!

This one is heaps -HEAPS!- better. Everything about it. The background, the clothes choice, your hair. I like how your hair frames your face better in this one. In your previous #1 and #2, I think your hair was tucked behind your ear or something and you didn’t really see it at all on the far side of your face. This is a vast improvement.

(Although I think I’d lighten the exposure and increase the contrast a bit more so it’ll pop more in print.)

(P.S. You really look lovely in this one! I think everyone agrees!)

This one for sure! I liked the pose and the smile for #1 below, but your hair in the back made me just want to smooth it. It wasn’t terrible, but not quite right. I didn’t pick one before, cause I thought there’d be a better shot coming… this one is it for sure!
