So.

If there’s anyone out there who’s still participating in the Shopping Embargo I would love to hear your update in the original thread. I feel like I’ve been talking to myself lately! How’s it going? :)

Due to unforeseen weight loss, I broke the embargo early on. (Hello, new jeans). I’m starting again on March 1st and will be doing some serious embargo blogging.

I’m still with ya! (Sorry I haven’t commented lately, just been real busy. But still reading) We’ve gone car-less, so makes the shopping embargo REAL easy.

Well I didn’t participate in this because I only read about it today, but even if I had participated, I probably still would have gone out and bought an Olympic shirt for everyone in the family.

In some ways it’s going really well-i’m not spending or buying …but now i don’t like shopping AT all partly because I don’t have time (no longer work for myself but for someone else) and partly because it’s still hibernation season!!!!! This embargo has leaked over to groceries too-but in a good way. i am not going to the store all the time and buying stuff i don’t need and we are using more of the available food at home. Don’t get me wrong-i WILL get back to regular shopping-but it will be for quality items-things we or i either need or really just want and can afford because i wasn’t out spending just to spend!!!!
