I went out to our back veranda the other day to discover that the girls had removed all of the beer bottle caps that were attached to Mark’s giant magnet. (It’s a 20lb magnet from a radar base that Mark has been holding on to since his bachelor days. Don’t ask.)

They spent a lot of time assembling this masterpiece:

Here’s a closeup:

Goes to show you can make an art project out of almost anything, doesn’t it?

I just hope they aren’t telling their friends at school how much beer we had to drink to get all those bottle caps.

A 20 lb magnet! Wow! As a guy I am jealous (think of all the cool things you could do). Just don’t bring it anywhere near your computer or camera.

saved wine corks also make nice montages as well .a few have great gothic type and crests and gosh it looks like you’ve drank alot when they’re put together !

Thank you for visiting! My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our two daughters Emma (14) and Sarah (12). I've been blogging since 1999, which makes me either a total dinosaur or a veteran of the Canadian blog scene, I'm not sure which! The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I am the Managing Editor of Capital Parent Newspaper but also make my living doing a bunch of other fun things.
