Reno post #52: Numbers with curve appeal

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Home/reno| Oh! Things!| Ottawa

The mail carriers and UPS dudes and All Other Delivery People will FINALLY be able to figure out which house is ours again:

How cool are your house numbers?

Can I just take a moment to tell you how much I love our new house numbers? I love the curve of the belly of the five, the straight-as-arrows lines of the four, the moon-shaped zeeeeerohhhh.

I bought them at Preston Hardware, which I seriously recommend for all your door-related hardware needs. They are AWESOME at Preston. The selection is fantastic and the service is stellar. I just wish we’d figured this out earlier in the game. Oh well, now you know!

The numbers were twenty bucks each. They come in silver and black but we went for the silver. One more thing struck off the list! Woot!

I love your new house numbers! My husband wants us to replace ours too. I’m sharing your post with him. Maybe Santa will gift them to us for Christmas. :)

The Obligatory Blurb

Thank you for visiting! My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our two daughters Emma (14) and Sarah (12). I've been blogging since 1999, which makes me either a total dinosaur or a veteran of the Canadian blog scene, I'm not sure which! The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I am the Managing Editor of Capital Parent Newspaper but also make my living doing a bunch of other fun things. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, family travel, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa for parents and kids. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.

If you'd like to contact me, please use this form. If you're so inclined, you can read more about me here.
