Falling in love with food, again…

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Publishing/writing/career stuff| Recipes and Food

As some of you already know, I spend a lot of time thinking and writing about the foods we eat. I think most parents do, whether not not they are writers or bloggers or, ahem, editors of Canadian recipe sharing websites. ;)

That’s why I am happy to FINALLY be able to share a bit of good news with you. I’m one of six Canadian bloggers who’s been chosen to work with Sobeys on their Fall in Love with Better Food campaign. Sobeys launched their new food-lovin’ website earlier this week, and the bloggy team and I (behold giant mugshot here) will be doing some interesting things including giveaways, product reviews, and General Pontification about What It Means to Eat Well. All good stuff. My introductory post is up on the blog right now if you want to go see. (Go! See! I’d be so grateful if you clicked over and left me a comment over there.)

So that’s the scoop! One more thing, in the name of transparency I want to let you know that I am being compensated for my participation in this campaign, but as always my views and opinions remain my own. Please let me know if you have any questions, about this, about what we’re making for dinner tonight, or whatever. :)

The Obligatory Blurb

Thank you for visiting! My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our two daughters Emma (14) and Sarah (12). I've been blogging since 1999, which makes me either a total dinosaur or a veteran of the Canadian blog scene, I'm not sure which! The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I am the Managing Editor of Capital Parent Newspaper but also make my living doing a bunch of other fun things. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, family travel, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa for parents and kids. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.

If you'd like to contact me, please use this form. If you're so inclined, you can read more about me here.
