Remember the classic merry go rounds (not the one you find at the fair, but the kind at the park)? They don’t exist anymore… they’re too unsafe. So it seems that idea is not so far fetched…

My daughter (2.5 yo) rode a real-life horse at a pony ride in Edmonton the other day (no helmet, just being led around the paddock by a staff member). Later that afternoon, at the SAME park, “regulations” dictated that I sit on the carousel pony WITH her. I couldn’t even stand beside her, I had to squeeze onto the pony with her. It didn’t make sense to either of us.
