a peek inside the fishbowl

So here’s the deal.

Posted by andrea tomkins in: - Found objects

If you’ve been following this blog for awhile you know that I have an ongoing fascination with found objects. My children are now in the habit of picking stuff up off the road/sidewalk/whatever, holding it out to me and asking if this “is this found art.”

We have found some pretty interesting things.

Mark has caught the sickness too and has been known to find some pretty good stuff. Well, he found something really interesting while biking to work the other day. It’s a first for our found art collection.

I was going to post a scan of it here, but changed my mind because some people might find it offensive. That, and it might get someone in trouble.

But at the same time it is TOO GOOD not to share.

I will email the scan if you request it. Let me know in the comments below if you’d like me to email it to you, but be forwarned: it’s not for the squeamish or faint-of-heart. (!)

The Obligatory Blurb

Thank you for visiting! My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our two daughters Emma (14) and Sarah (12). I've been blogging since 1999, which makes me either a total dinosaur or a veteran of the Canadian blog scene, I'm not sure which! The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I am the Managing Editor of Capital Parent Newspaper but also make my living doing a bunch of other fun things. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, family travel, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa for parents and kids. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.

If you'd like to contact me, please use this form. If you're so inclined, you can read more about me here.
