Thank you for lending us your pressure washer. Mark has since washed the front porch, steps and railing; part of the flagstone pathway; several square metres of exterior wall; the back steps and railing, the muskoka chairs you thoughtfully gave us as a wedding present; the picnic table; the sandbox; and the BBQ.
There may even been other things washed while I wasn't paying attention. I know for a fact he expressed a keen interest in pressure washing our driveway.
I was pleased to see he took such an interest in deep cleaning all of these things, in fact, I would venture to say that his enthusiasm was as great at the rate of pressure of "our new friend, the washer," (as he put it) which I'm guessing is about 1600 PSI. His excitement was so intense that he didn't really notice the splinters flying off the cedar planks of our front porch. He was safer washing the patio stones.
After spraying everything he could he patiently waited for all to dry, and then went to Home Depot to pick up new cedar boards to replace the ones he unintentionally eroded.
Anyway, I thought I should let you know that it was a big hit in our house. I know you mentioned they were on sale for half-price at Canadian Tire, but I'd be afraid he'd try to pressure wash our children next. Or the laundry.
Sincere regards,
andrea

New photos have been uploaded to the main page. A big batch. Have a great weekend everyone!
Sarah speaks very well for someone her age. She just turned three, but I can have a conversation with her about anything. And it seems like she's been like this for a long time.
There are a couple of words she mispronounces, but I can't bring myself to correct her because it's so darn CUTE.
For example, she held up a bag of marshmallows and exclaimed gleefully, MOMMY! MUSHROOMS! I told her they were marshmallows, which she interpreted as "mushmellow." Makes sense though. After all, they are kind of mushy, aren't they?
She also calls sunscreen "sun-scream."
But my big time favourite is her pronunciation of "bathing suit." She calls it her "baby-soo." I make her repeat it because it's so adorable. This alone makes it worthwhile having children.

Mark and I were discussing what to have for dinner. I casually mentioned we should make use of a favourite marinade and "throw some shrimp on the barbie."
Emma perked right up, and solemnly asked us
please not to throw shrimp on her Barbies™.
