Access and Dreamweaver and Coldfusion oh my!

p.s. Why oh why must each class have a resident know-it-all? And no, FYI, it's not me.

And now, just because I am feeling particularly distracted by my surroundings... is a wedding portrait of Pete and Pocahontas.

It looks like it was quite the party.

Pete is doing the driving this time. I imagine it would be hard to keep his eyes on the road.

(BTW, this is Emma's doing, not mine)

<10:30 a.m.>

I have been spending way too much time in front of the computer lately, and perhaps that's why I'm suffering from a bit of creative burnout and I'm not feeling particulary inspired to write.

It's been crazy around here, more so than usual:

Monday: Camped out in a lineup at the local rec centre so I could sign the girls up for dance lessons, and get a fitness membership for myself.

Tuesday: I had my second-to-last yoga class and killed my neck. It's been bothering me ever since.

Wednesday: I co-hosted a networking event for DigitalEve on Wednesday night at a pub downtown.

Thursday: I met with the publisher of a book that profiles "cheap eats" in Ottawa. I am going to be contributing profiles of my favourite restaurants. This is great, but it also means that I'm going to have to eat out at LEAST once a week until the end of January. Should I be complaining about this? No.

Thursday night: I braved the crowds at Toys R us and completed 80% of the Christmas shopping.

Thursday night: We bought our Christmas tree. It was was hard, trying to pick it out in the dark, while the wind was howling, temperatures plummeting, girls running around the piles of trees.… I kept waiting for a tree to fall over on one of them, but fortunately this never happend.

Tonight: we are planning to trim the tree and do some noggin.

This weekend: I'm taking a weekend-long course at Algonquin, so Mark is going to be here with the girls.

My head is spinning!
